Fake Coach bag alert!

OH, just this morning, while being trapped in a lift with this lady who was all dressed up in a business suit, my eyes spotted something.

A Coach bag.

The lady was carrying a small Black Coach Hobo.

Not bad.

Being a fan of branded bags of all kinds from LV, Prada, Gucci and of course Coach, my eyes have been trained to spot these beautiful babies anywhere.

However, on second glance, the eyes saw something suspicious.

FAKE COACH ALERT!!!!

Man! Don't you hate it when these ladies wear all smartie and end up carrying a FAKE COACH BAG??

Such disrespect to the brand! Imitation branded bags are a definite NO-NO for me.
Call me bitchy or mean but if you can't afford it, then don't carry it. Period. Get a life! Ugh.

How do you tell if it was fake? I'd like to know. :P

Danny, you can check out the bag's zip and tag. Fake ones use normal zip and some may not even have that signature Coach tag.

And if you look at the material of the bag closely, there IS a difference in quality.

But well..hehe..I doubt most people would actually look so closely unless they are into the bag as well! :p

I prefer fake because it will be much cheaper.

hi KitKat, well..it's okay that you like fake ones..everyone has different taste. Hehe, but I just like my real ones.. :p

You can usually tell by the hardware (or metal bits on the purse) - the fake coach bags always use cheap looking buckles/etc or have cheap looking tags with them. The leather is another indicator - the fakes generally have faux leather on them.

I don't get the point of buying a fake one. If you just saved up enough you could afford a real one. I mean...how cheap are the knock-offs to make them worth it?

from what i hear, you can get a fake for about $20 or so, maybe even less... if you don't think having a certain brand is that big of a deal (and don't feel like shelling out hundreds when you could spend a single $20 bill) then i think the fakes are a much better deal, as long as they're not ridiculously, obviously fake & ugly-looking. it's just a purse, i wouldn't spend hundreds on something i'll be sick of in a few months, and will be out of style, and will get dirty, etc. =)
